Siemens-Halske eleven cylinder

Hello all,

Been lurking for some weeks but this is my first post on the forum.

Having tracked down an Eduard SSW DIII, I want to replace the engine with something a bit more detailed. There was an Atlee (I think) resin replacement which is no longer available and the Toms Modelworks one seems like little improvement on the original.

Having just sampled the excellent Vector resin engines, it occured that I could use their Clerget cylinders (two front pushrods) on a new eleven cylinder crankcase (maybe even using the original with the cylinders cut off) to represent the Siemens Halske. As Vector thoughtfully provide ten cylinders with each engine this could be done without sacrificing a whole Clerget (assuming I refrain from feeding the carpet monster!).

Can't find any dimensions for the two cylinder heights, but would think that there is not too much difference.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

TIA

Rowan
