Idea I'm sharing

Hello all,

I've come up with a simple idea of a block of wood with 9 thimbles + 1 spare, lined up in pre drilled holes. Why?? I here you say...

Well, Simple.
each thimble is a small mixing pot for paint. Put your paint in, add your thinners, stir with the supplied sprue stirrers, pour thinned paint into your airbrush and Bob's yer Uncle. I've drilled small hole in front of the thimbles so I can fill them with different colour paint. This will act as colour coding for the thimbles. That way, the colour black will only be mixed in the black coded thimble and so on...

What do you think? good idea? Or should I wait for the men in white coats to take me away?

Cheers my dears

Bob Von Buckle

Well Bob I'm an anachronistic, unrepentant brush-painter, so that idea doesn't help me, but I could see how those legions of airbrushers out there would find this idea very handy!

Excellent idea, even if you are brush-painting. For "wahses" - diluted paints used for weathering and many other things.
Thanks for sharing!!!

Ahhh yes that would be a handy device for washes and small amounts of custom mixes! Since I don't weather my projects, that hadn't occurred to me! This certainly would be very useful...

Hi all,

Would Mr Lawson consider adding this to the tips section???
Could be of some use to new comers.

Cheers
Bob
