Price has been set at £34.50

In a very recent Aeroclub order I received a newsletter which notes the price as £34.50 (marked down from crossed out £52.50).

The new price is $80 AUD. I can't afford that.

Well Ross, the revised price seems very reasonable to me..........

as it is only just over 1.5 times the cost of an Eduard Fokker (in the UK anyway) - for instance or the cost of a kit and a sheet of decals.

Whether one CAN afford it is a matter for individuals, but for myself I think it is something I will afford - even at the expense of a couple of new kits (and lets face it, we've all probably got more than we will likely ever build!).

As there are two things which slow me down in particular; rigging and setting up struts and wing alignment, the jig looks to me as if it will be a constantly used tool which will actually up my production rate and diminish my loft insulation - no bad thing in my view.

Don't get me wrong. I would love to have one. I am an Aeroclub Fanboy. Maybe I need to stop buying kits and save to buy one fo these myself.

I've never used a jig of any sort. Well, up until earlier in the week when I was trying to mount up the upper wing on the Hitech AEG G.IV. I just used paint bottles and scraps of wood to set the top wing at the right level and taped the bottom wings to the work bench. Made life a thousand times easier.

Bottom line.....I'm going to go head and get one of these when money allows. Probably after the holiday season.
