http://www.revell.de/typo3/en/compan...d_brands/?&L=1

The model's held aloft by 2 magnets repelling each other and stabilized by 2 almost invisible threads.

According to the above site.

They are not cheap either. They are in 72nd scale.

I have heard they don't always work. The Dr1. Magic Flight contains the old kit.

Greetings, Nico Teunissen

I saw two completed examples at a local toy store. A DR1 and a Spitfire (I believe). Very interesting to behold. Could be bashed into an interesting diorama I think. I couldn't quite get myself to crack open my wallet for one though. My memory is sketchy on the price; but I believe thy cost around $45.00 each.

I've seen a small, desktop sized, globe suspended with magnets in this way. It falls very easily if bumped and is the devil to put back in place. The "sweet spot" between falling and getting stuck to the magnet is very small.

It's gimicky kind of stuff. Most longtime/hardcore modeler's don't go for that kind of stuff, but, hey, if that's what your customer wants, it's his dime.

Actually, he's offered me a box of older unbuilt kits (1/72 & 1/48.) I'll take the DML Fok. D.VII kits and Eduard Nieuport 17 -21 types for the inprogress dioramas. The rest will probably go on my website for sale.

"...I’ve got a 2’ X 2’ X 6” box of 1/72nd (Airfix mostly), 1/28th (Revell mostly) and one or two 1/48th (a few foreign manufacturers, DML Fok. D.VII kits and Eduard Nieuport 17 -21 types ) scale kits for you. They were from a friend of mine who needed to decrease his stock. I need to pack the Magic Flight Dr.I and a set of instructions with them before I box it up and send it your way..." Cheers.

Well it is here and I have started to work on it. I decided to crack open my old files on the 1/72 kits I used to do. (They are at the bottom of my sub-basement so far back I had to wade through two feet of water for 22 feet and pry open the very last vault door in my archive. (colourful exaggeration)

This was examined against the old Aeromodeller drawings. This study should be credited to Mr. C. Lamar Kemp of Tx.
