If I may Clarify Myself regarding this post? This is merely a demonstration of What IS Possible to accomplish with the Mirid of Miricle Modern Day Modelling Hobby Products and Tools readily available to all of us.

The initial response to this subject confirms for me a belief that 1/32 Seated Pilot Figures are rare and In demand for the very reason that today's Kit Manufacturers do not release them with their kits.

Being a Proprietary Product whose rights belongs belong to the Manufactuer I am allowed to copy and use it only for personal use. I have near a dozen 1/32 WWI ACFT kits between HobbyCraft, Roden and Battle Axe that SCREAM for a Seated Scale Pilot in their Cockpits.

This is the www.andrea-miniatures.com Manfred Von Richtofen Seated Pilot Figure which is included in their Orignally Outrageously Over Priced Resin/Mutli-Media Limited Run 54mm Fokker Dr.I 1918 Kit ( S3-S02 ). Unfortunately for them they do not offer this figure seperately. However it is currently listed @ 123 Euros on the Home Site which today equates to near $147.00 USD now. Down a great deal form it's introductry price of over $230.00 USD. They do seperately sell a 1/32 standing Manfred and his Dog with a Walking Stick.

I picked up this Kit at a rare short run www.squadron.com Inventory Clearence sale for a little less than half price. Aside form actually being an ingenous, detailed and suberb resin and white metal kit of a full size 1/32 scale Fokker Dr.I, It was one of those few one time offers I had to force myself to bend over and grab it, if nothing else except for this Suburb White metal Five piece Seated Baron Pilot Figure.

An experienced friend actually helped make this copy however I have a complete Resin Molding Kit Myself from www.micromark.com COMPLETE RESIN CASTING STARTER SET(+) Item Number: 82698 Price $76.75 and there are others available as well as supplies from local art suppy stores.

There ARE a few VERY Talented Scratch builders here at this forum even whom with a little effort could very well produce an original figure for comerical consumption and help fill yet another gapping void in our hobby and era for Seated Pilots and other Air and ground Crewmen in this scale !

I've been adapting the excellent Airfix Mutipose 1/32 styrene WW2 figures for use in some 1/32 aircraft.

Does anybody else do this or something similar?
