I'm not sure exactly what your looking for but is it information on Jacobs Triplanes or another Dr.I scheme? It seems some of your message went missing.

Ltn. J. Jacobs flew two Triplanes that we know of. Fokker Dr. I 450/17 & 470/17. Make no mistake as others have in the past. He had 450/17 first it was his oldest and with rare exceptions it was always his primary mount. 450/17 was altered in its scheme twice.

First from March to about June 1918 it carried the "god of the north wind" and the broad bordered crosses.

Then in June to about Sept. 1918 it was altered to carry simple white "only" crosses.

In mid Sept. 1918 it was repainted like its original scheme.

Dr.I 470/17 carries open framed crosses from the time Jacobs took it over June to at least Oct.1918.

On Oct.3, 1918. Ltn Jacobs lost Dr.I 450/17 in attempting to fight several SE 5a types that strafed his airfield in an early morning attack.

After the crash Ltn Jacobs lamented the loss of his "...dear old triplane..." His subsequent combat reports list only the Fokker Dr.I (470/17) being used.

He added the "god of the north wind insignia to it."

There are any number of Triplane shemes, I would recommend Ospreys Aircraft of the Aces volume for this.
