GregorySharp; The Doctor's in. The cutting off of the hands thing... just a little drastic eh? How would you pet your dog? Try building another Eduard or Roden kit and call me in the morning... but not before 10am. Its my day off.

Very nice, please keep posting your build as you come along.
I agree with what he said. I see all the lovely builds on here and want to never build again... and I just cannot resist looking, even though it discourages me to no end.

There are some true artists on here! (Looks like you are one of that elite group too, Mind Phaser!)

Wonderfully sharp paintjob. Mindphaser.

I don't doubt that the finished model will be anything less than beautiful.

Cheers,

Rick

Welcome to this most excellent of forums!

Not often I click and save model pictures, but these are outstanding - I think the wood finish is among the best I've seen!

Bravo! keep the pics coming!

Next progress: Albartos is prepared for black coat.

But I have a problem with its correct camo. I would like to do Loezer's Albatros with black rudder and lozenge patterns on the wings as is presented in Eduard instuction book (kamo1.jpg). I found on internet Miller's plate which is the same (kamo2.jpg). But then I found Millers hi-tech 3D action picture of Loerzer plane (kamo3.jpg) where the first stripe on the fuselage is grey the same colour as the wing strats are. And which colour is correct for painting of wheel disks? White od grey?
Can someone help me? I have some photos of Lorzer's Albatros but they are in very poor quality
Thank's very much in advance.

My Gallery
mindphaser
the first stripe on the fuse should definitly be black.
it appears lighter on my illustration because I bumped up the refelctivity on the metal parts.
well...I think that was it

as for the hubs
I went with grey - but if I recall correctly I think i remember seeing some claims that they were loz covered.
something I promptly ignored as it would have been a huge pain

Mindphaser - looking good so far - to echo what the others have said, your wood grain is excellent, even if it is a tad on the dark side (not that you can do much about it now! )

Also, I notice you have two footholds on the pt side of the fuselage - don't forget to remove the fwd foothold, for some reason Eduard moulded it one panel too far forward!

To Mark Miller: thank you very much for your very fast answer on my questions concerning on Loerzer's Alb. Your information that the hubs could have been covered by loz was very interesting for me.
