new pics, old work

Last week I revisited some old work that I hadn't really seen up close in years. A chance to clean and rephotograph a few models of mine popped up and I jumped. This is my favorite shot- 1/48, one third Gavia kit, two thirds scratched. I like the sloppy painting around the rudder cross and the generally scuzzy paint work done to resemble the actual airplane.

ssshhhhhh.....you'll wake it up. Its ego has already enlarged another 2 sizes since the Windsock article not too long ago.
For now, how 'bout a 1/48 Tabloid? Scratched wings and tail bits, some Eduard in the fuselage, bamboo struts?

Thanks! And you too Mr. Lawson!
The turnbuckles are acrylic paint mixed with a little white glue and sculpted on with a brush. It took me a long time to learn not to overdo it!
