Morane diorama in progress

Hello

After finishing my Roland diorama I was hooked and started on a new WW1 diorama containing an airplane (I used to be an ww2 armor modeller )

My new project, still at a very early stage contains the Morane from Special Hobby, a nice little kit coming togehter easily.

The story tells a Morane, crash landed at a river bank, the pilot is still in the cocpit knocked unconcious. After a while three kids ice skating down the frosen river are finding this rather unusal guest at their playground. The oldes kid is nervously poking at the pilot with a stick to see if he is alive while the younger ones are standing in the background....

The figures are still in a very early stage. I,m going to convert all the kids (by Andrea and Sol) to fit into the scene and the pilot is going to be completely scratchbuild.
The ground is going to be frozen with minimum of snow.

Comments are welcomed.

Cheers

Per Olav

Hi Milorg

Your work with Roland C.II is splendid... This diorama with the morane will be surely also beautiful. The dynamism of your scene is amazing and really very realistic!

I am very impressed....How are you part it of the broken wing? Appearance is very pretty with the folding...

Thank you for your future answers and your future photographs for your ambitious realization

A très bientôt

Naimbs

Hello all,

Milorg. Once again, I'll be waiting for each of the new pics of your diorama...

A very pretty composition, I specially like the presence of the kids wondering about the pilot's luck

Thanks in advance for your great stuff

Best regards from Spain

Rinahe

Thumbs up Hello Milorg

As Rinahe says, that is a great composition. Do you plan to show battle damage/ control damage to the Morane, or is there a way to assume engine failure or pilot error?

Looking forward to further pictures.

Cheers,

Dackel

Thanks a lot guys appreciate your feedback.

Naimbs, Nansen; the broken wing part is made by thin plastic card. A part of the kit wing is replaced with a new one made of thin plastic card, and ribs of plastic strips. This part is hollow and the inside is soaked with a very strong solvent, (like Tamiya thin cement) this soften the plastic and the wing is carefully pressed into the wanted position. Be careful not to use too much solvent this will destroy the plastic completely.
Dackel; I was thinking of engine failure or pilot error, therefore a minimum of damage to the plane after a very lucky landing.

Cheers

Stephen; I'm very happy if my modelling can be helpful to other modellers

Manfred; uncrashed aircraft, how boring! , seriousely, of course I would like to make a diorama showing intact airplanes. Many ideas so little time!

Cheers
