Leaving aside the colours (as if!) that has to be the most realistic streaked finish I have ever seen. Bravo!
The colours look great - exactly as I imagined they would do if two colours were used. Would like to see it in greyscale!
In fact it would have been a bit of a lark if Ross had posted them in b/w first - and then presented them in colour!
norty norty.....

Ah! Greyscale; conclusively inconclusive!!!
Just as I would have expected, there is no discernable difference between the shades.
Thanks, Ross

A few of us think so, yes.
The majority do not.
There have been several threads in the past discussing the possibility of the famous Fokker "streaked" camo being a multi-colored finish. A Search should give you days and days of reading.
Ross, please pass my compliments on to Marlon - this is a fantastic piece of work and good to see.

People that have held or inspected original fabric or studied the records in the PRO (not the Rodney Gerrard stuff) say no.
But it is still an area of conjecture.

cammo
It IS a more effective form of camouflage.
But I do think it more likely on the early D-VIIs, and there is photographic evidence for that. Think of it as a transitional scheme from the triplane to the D-VIII, interrupted by lozenge fabric.
