Gordon Sutcliffe - he of Contrail vacforms fame - once marketed a 1:24 SE5a under his 'Black Knight' label. He also produced a Nieuport 17 and Alabatros D.V/Va in the same scale series. He retired shortly after, and as far as I know that was the end of their production.

I've got them all. They're vacforms, with engines, guns etc supplied in white metal; these parts are a little basic but adequate with a little re-working. The SE5a's fuselage profile in the nose area is a little suspect and all need some serious detailing to turn them into high-standard exhibits, but they're otherwise basically accurate and would reward the extra work involved.

I began to cut out the SE5a parts, glued the Nieuport's wings together and just looked at the Albatros, then moved onto other projects. If anyone's interested in buying them, mail me at simba.duxwing@blueyonder.co.uk.

Cheers!
