Marc Guerrero; Most interesting finish. I like your overall treatment very much. Note the grab handle on the fuselage side? Otherwise highly intriguing.

I love how you have replicated the leather trim around the cockpit opening.

Wink

I beleive this is awesome work by a Master craftsmen. I think it shows a Pinicale of Airbrushing technique.

The extra close Macro photos here afford an oportuntiy to see the EFFECT up close and personal in order to demonstrate "how to " do it. What you don't see is an Overall shot which I think would bring all this panel detail into perspective, where you might really appreciate it's genius.

The White shadowing on the panel lines accentuates the visual effect of the Curved Fuselage paneling and fading of the Original Stain/painting as it reaches the seams. The Dark "Rust" Brown as it has been described here I think again will change in view with the overall picture from farther away as it again to me is an ingenious way of showing the Wood panel Joints over a Solid Color Fusealge.

If you take a close look at many of the solid Red Albatross BW Photos. You can see what a thin covering the color appears with lots of weathering wear on the Left side of the cockpits from ladders used against the side of the plane to assist in mounting these birds.

I think this tachnique looks eggagerated SO Close up, but I think is one of those Subliminal things which when viewed on the whole subject is one of the defining things which causes the work to stand out in one's mind as looking exactly life like and ready for one to climb in and Switch the Magnetos ON !

Hi All

The dust on the plane is make to have a good weathering.
If you see some pictures from the real plane in operation, you can see how the plane is durty.

This dust is not in rust but in flat earth. The pictures changes the initial color.........

My technic is to make some effects to have a global view when the model is finished.

The plane that you see is not finished. The weathering will make it
possible to give relief to the unit.

Let us not forget that these planes were located on dusty
and muddy grounds.

Friendly
Marc
