Rare Kit Alert

http://cgi.ebay.com/Aurora-1-48-scal...QQcmdZViewItem

This, I believe, was the victim of broken masters, so it'll never be more available than . . . now.

Enjoy!

The old Aurora kits show up pretty regularly on eBay. I spent most of last year trolling and stalking and picked up all of the multi-seaters, determined not to spend more than $35 USD on any individual kit. It took a while, but I did it. Also picked up all of the other kits that were never re-issued by SMER, Monogram or Glencoe, such as the Eindecker and the Sopwith triplane.

The ones that always fetched the highest price were the Halberstadt (released twice), the Gotha (released 3 times) and the Albatros CIII (released twice). The DH4 is the rarest, being only released once, but doesn't seem to have the appeal of the German multi-seaters. Same with the Breguet and the DH10. The Brisfits usually go for $15 to $20. I've seen the Gothas go for nearly $150, but patience will out.
