WWI Plane models in central Alabama?

Hello all,
I am new to this, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any shops, etc., in Central Alabama where I can find WWI airplane models? I have seen the post about the 1/16th Scale Sopwith Camel. I know of no model shops around the Montgomery area other than like Hobby Lobby. You can find plenty of WWII airplane models but I have seen no WWI airplane models anywhere in years? 1/32 is fine, but I would love to have some finely detailed 1/16th models.

Any info as to where I could find quality models of WWI planes, in 1/32 or 1/16 would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Hey Mike

Thanks Mike. I checked out the links. But I have a question. In the link to the 1/6th scale ones, it shows all the models without their skins or fabric, just their framework. IS that they way they come, that is the finished kit, or does it come with the skin too? Just curious.

Dear Dave

Yes Model Airways kits are skelatal Models. Thts it thats how they are designed to be without covering. They emphize the internal structure. Theyre roots are deeply set in the Ship multi media kits you see on line.

1/8th scale models

Thanks. A 1/8th scale model must be huge though (just how long is it), where on earth would one put it after completion, unless hanging from the ceiling or something? I know there would not be room for a large model like that in my house. Just curious,
DAve
