Brad, what an incredibly interesting subject. I too will look forward to your future updates on this one along with everyone else here.

Boy I can see that I will have to brush up on my Fokkers....I did not even know about this one!

All the best

Brad,
What gauge plastic rod did you use for the cockpit tubing?

Top banana!

Hi Brad
You have a Very nice model on the go here. Looking at the other web shots for this kit, it appears to have a wing similar in construction to the Fokker D.V111 with an all sheeted wing with inset ailerons. Both the V23 and the V26(prototype Fokker DV111) were flown during the second Adlershof trials and one would expect some similarity in wing design.
Do you have a 3 view supplied in the kit documentation as I would like to know the wing plan dimensions. To your knowledge, is there any other source of 3 view available.
Great stuff Brad-I`m looking forward to the rest of the build.

Sorry for the late reply guys but I have not been on the site for a few days.

Bob - the rod I used was around 2mm in diameter, nothing fancy.

John - the kit comes with some nice 3-views showing internal construciton details (although I cannot vouch for the accuracy), but I also have a simple set of 3-view external drawings I sourced a while ago from the net which should give you the info you need - send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send it directly through to you (ita about 600kb and too parge to post here).

Cheers,

BC

Engine is now done... I used the Roden engine and engine compartment as a basis - there was not too much in the way of modifications, just the usual ignition wires, rocker arms and rocker springs. The unique V23 exhaust pipe was made from the two supplied in the Roden kit.

All tips / feedback welcome!

You're doing some wonderful things there, Brad.

This whole project of yours is absolutely great; the idea, the execution...really top notch from A-to-Z.
