Revell 1/28 Camel Build Question

Listen I know its been done before, Ive seen pictures of Corrected Revell Sopwith Builds. Ie Tapered End Struts, But I must have missed it and was hoping to save some time pouring over plan views, measuring and converting BY ASKING ?

Does anyone know Off Hand how many mm to Shave down/cut the Wing and Interplane Struts on the Revell Camel ?

Yours Mike

Mike,

about 6 mm ought to do the trick on the interplane struts. Outer wing struts are ok as is,

Thanks for bringing this up, I had heard this about the 1/28 Camel too but never looked for the answer. The interplane struts connect the wings, with the cabane struts connecting the wing center section to the fuselage. So, would I be correct in thinking cut down the cabane struts by 6mm and leave the interplane struts alone?

That is correct, The cabane struts in the kit are too long and would cause a bow in the top wing if used without shortening.
