NEW Model Design & Blueprinting Handbook

Have you ever heard of such a thing? I sure haven't. I've been making blueprints for nearly 20 years and all I've ever seen on this subject have been technical drafting textbooks. Lots of people have been asking me how to make accurate plans for their projects, so this past year I sat down to write a book on the subject. Now it's finally done! (Yeah! Whew, what a long project. . .)

This book is aimed at both traditional (physical) and 3D modelers. It covers all the basics of turning reference material into a set of accurate blueprints for just about any project. Rather than just hit you with a bunch of concepts, it walks you step-by-step through the entire process. The finished book is over 260 pages and has over 230 detailed illustrations (yeah, I've been busy! )

For detailed info on this book, please go here:
http://www.ModelersNotebook.com

Please keep in mind the book is not being officially released until early next year. But I am making a LIMITED NUMBER of copies available next month for those who wish to pre-order. It's first-come, first-served so please order soon.

Once we get past the holidays, this new site will start putting up many resources for modelers, including free online articles. So much to do, so little time!

Thanks!

Charles Adams

Hello,

I have been ask numerous times how do you create your drawings and I have attempted to develop a tutorial and have failed miserable, but I had the opportunity to review a draft of this book and it everything that it claims. I have completed a number of projects where I only used photos for reference, they are posted here:
http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/wizardofflight/
and
http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/misc/wol/
as well as all of my Boba and Jango Fett templates and Star Wars Blaster drawings and the techniques in this book are just the ticket. I had to learn them the hard way, but this book would have saved me a lot of time and hassles.

If you have any interest in scratch building physical or CGI models from photo references the techniques discussed in this book are essential and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to venture into this world you won’t be disappointed.

The book is now in people's hands and some very glowing reviews are coming in! Glad to see folks are liking it. Please keep in mind the first printing was small, and a large percentage has already been sold out! It costs a great deal to print a large book like this, so no guarantees on future printings.
