5 Lozenge on the Pfalz D.IIIa wings and possibly repaired wings for the Pfalz D.III other wise the Pfalz D.III had silver wings. Ribtapes were cut stripe of 5 colour lozenge. Only on the long ribs.
Nice info Stephen!! I am not sure but I think that long time ago I have find in Windsock magazine mentioned single color of the tape, not the lozenge strip...

Greetings Sreiko,
If you look at the lozenge on Pfalz D.IIIa and even the later D.VIII and D. XII from the factory you will see no evidence of contrasting (noticeably different)solid colour rib tapes (lt. blue, pink or clear doped linen.) All good / clear images that I haver seen, show lozenge type rib tapes.
If there are any images of lower wings with solid colour tapes (just for discussion), it may have been an "in the field repair." Our own Dan San Abbott has discussed rib tapes before. There may be more details available in the search engine.
Also thanks for your kind words concerning my other builds.
