1/5 Nieuport 11

Hi to all,
I'm currently building a 1/5 scale Nieuport 11 from the Proctor kit, this is literally my first build so in many ways I'm making it up as I go along with much useful advice from all on the forum. I've discovered that I'm starting to become a stickler for scale accuracy (oh,oh) so as a result am doing more scratchbuilding. At some stage I will have to install a 1/5 scale Dummy 80 hp Le Rhone - the idea of scratchbuilding this is quite intimidating - where do I start?

Question

Many thanks Ross,
The 3d graphics are very useful, the more information the better!- I also purchased the Williams Bros 1/6 scale model Le Rhone as a guide, as a first time builder the problem solving required to scratchbuild from this is challenging - To be more specific - are there plans to build from? Any experience from scratchbuilders welcomed

Thumbs up

Sounds like a great plan! I will be watching this build closely. My best advice is to contact my modeling friend Ken Foran for scratchbuilding advice,he is a master craftsman in this field.Cheers! John.

Austin- Contact Steve Anderson, whose work and web site are in our Gallery. Steve did a scratch built 1/4 scale 120 hp Le Rhone for me. You could make it easier on yourself and turn your N.11 into a N.16 with the addition of a scratch built headrest and be able to use the 120 hp 9J which has been much more widely modeled.
