Model Airways 1/16 Sopwith Camel

Has anyone seen this kit and can offer comment on it with regard to accuracy, construction, etc. ?

Their are a few who will Iam sure comment who've had direct build experience with this line and have in part near reveiwed them all. So much already has been said on them it may be best to Search the Thread History for them.

They are not necessarily accurate as one might hope. It is best to evaluate their finshed photos. What you see is what you'll get. A Captivating large desk top dispaly of a Structural ACFT. Often some material/Build/Finishing Problems, but again those have already been addressed in some detail before.

Best to Remeber the Origins of this Line to understand where they are going with them and what you get. They are a natural extention of Detailed White Metal and Wood Ship Models with brass cannons, real thread rigging and All.

SO consider completeing one of those ship builds from the Box up and you'll have an idea of whats involoved with these kits. If you dream of Detailing and Covering one of these ? mmmmmmmmm...a lot of work and in the end you might best decide against it ?

Yours Mike

I plan to do an online build of this kit sometime down the road.(probably in the Fall )I have built 3 of these kits so far and reviewed them all somewhere in my "How to Build......." thread. If you enjoy a challenge and are not afraid of a little scratchbuilding ,they really can be a lot of fun.Cheers! John.
