One last update

My replacement parts arrived today damage free.

Not surprisingly, they were cut off the sprue, and taped to a sturdy pieces of cardboard.

Salute,
Steve

Stoney,

Sometimes it takes a little while for them to respond, however, the couple of times I've ever contacted them for anything, they've always come through. It may take 10 days or so before you hear from them...others may correct me here as I don't remember exactly. Also, be sure to include your mailing address in your email. That will save considerable time.

Cheers, and good luck......

Hmmm, same difference, as far as I'm concerned. Again, nothing personally against Roden, but I see them sending out replacements for stuff that got damaged due to their own poor design and/or manufacturing, as unremarkable.

I contrast that with the late, lamented Accurate Miniatures. I bought one of their TBMs, and later decided I wanted to use a different color scheme and ordnance. So I called them and offered to pay for the decals and plastic -- and they refused! They sent the stuff on their dime, including postage.

Now that's service.

Hello all,
I got mine today and the same problem. Bent tips and also chunks of plastic chipped away from the lower.
I have written to Roden and do expect them to come through and deliver. It's a shame that I should have to wait another 2 weeks before I can start what I think will be one of my favorite builds ever.
Fingers crossed x

Cheers
Bob

They are STILL in business ( albeit at a reduced scale)

I used to repair the injection machines at a plastic place in the states
Part of them keeping the kit price low is not hiring the most skilled people for your packing
An other problem could be that they are shooting the parts too fast and are not cooling fast enough to keep from distorting on the catch bin
Where they behind on the release of this kit???
Many thing can contribute to the problems your seeing
But if they are working to fix it they probably knew there was a problem and didn’t want to miss the dead line for shipping

Really looking forward to seeing what you make of this kit. Any ideas which color scheme you'll use?

When I get to it, I'm pretty sure I'll go with the green/mauve scheme, with a Jasta 10 yellow nose.

Thumbs up Undamaged Pfalz DIII's

Just to let you know, I very recently bought myself one in Copenhagen, nothing to complain about. Looks stunning, looking forward to start, but now I have quite a lot waiting to be built.

Very smart of the kit manufacturers. Not so many years ago it became possible to get ww1 models in good quality in 1/48. When we get all of them we want, they start producing them in a very handsome scale, 1/32! Well, that's just a positive problem, isn't it?

So now I have seen two perfectly 1/32 Pfalz'es from Roden.
Thank you.
