Making spoked wheels 1/72

Hello everyone,

I have recently purchased the eastern express Aviatik DI by in 1/72. I was thinking of building the plane that Linke-Crawford was flying when he was shot down (115.02? - don't remember at the moment - anyway the one with the hideous austrian hex camo featured on the cover of the windsock datafile). The kit provides ugly looking covered wheels and this bird had spoked wheels. Does anyone have a preferred method for scratch building spoked wheels in 1/72? Would the Eduard PE sheet of german tires be suitable for an Aviatik?

Thanks a lot....

On the market you can find photo etched sets. Other way is to use stretched sprue, a lot of nerve and wire by wire make this wheel.
