Solution to weak landing gear legs!

Just embed an ordinary sewing needle into the fore U/C leg.(Sorry bout the dog hair but she is a Siberian Husky)

Question Tools required

A couple of needle files,a drill for the hole at the top and lots of patience.

An ordinary sewing needle is very strong and has a nice pointy end for better securing the leg to the fuselage. They also come in endless types and sizes.

This idea could also be used to great advantage for center section and wing struts or wherever other straight pieces need strengthening .

Super glue for cracks, pits and dings in the metal.
Super glue works very well for repairs to the metal fittings.I used to use 2 part epoxy but you have to wait at least 24 hours until it is hard enough to sand which is a pain.
Just wash off the part with windex (with ammonia )and let it dry ,then fill the hole with super glue, put on a little accelerator ,sand and look for imperfections. If you see any just repeat the procedure until you are happy.

Thumbs up Jim Landon is on board.

Good news folks! Jim Landon has agreed to participate in answering any questions you may have on modifying the Nieuport 28.He also has given his permission for me to use his pics to help illustrate a problem that may be common with these kits .

The undercarriage legs are all about the same design for the Albatros,Nieuport and Camel kits. Not very accurate but acceptable. The serious modeler would probably want to scratchbuild these.
