I am happy to report that the Camel wing ribs are much improved over the Nieuport or the Albatros versions.I didn't have to sand or reshape any of the components so far.The ribs slipped on the spars with a perfect fit first time.

Thumbs down Camel,bad center section

Note :The trailing edge of the center section around the cockpit area is of poor design and not at all like the real aircraft.Don't glue the center section ribs on the spars before re-designing this area.The other option is to use the earlier square design for this area.

Hi Stephen! Yes these kits do have the potential to be so-called museum pieces,(whatever that means )as long as the builder is aware of where the problems exist and how they can be corrected.If we all get involved and record our experiences then the others that follow us down the same road will at least know what to look for.

Center section cont....

Be aware of compression strut placement on top or bottom of spar is different from real aircraft.Some on top and some on bottom for the model.
-internal wood braces should be installed after the run of the wing wires has been determined.
-there is no provision for fittings between the center section and the wing sections.

Securing wheells to floor or base!


This should work well for any fabric covered wheel.
