Indeed, trackpad, those moulded bits do come off. Forgot that. As for pix, posting images could be a quantum leap for this dummy. I'll work on it.

First attempt!
[/IMG] Sorry about the lack of photographic excellence,I just held the thing up in front of the camera in not-very-clever lighting.
Quick edit!!! Oops! Now somebody can tell me what went wrong.

Hi, Alan,
Not to worry if the photos are not working out. I've removed the cabanes, trimmed out the molded pins, and dryfitted the cabanes to see how they fit. With a little sanding along the cabane top surfaces, they'll slip into place easily. I'll then add new pins either side of the cabane tops, maybe do a bit of gap filling with thinned white glue, and finish the whole thing up with a touch of red paint and a really small paint brush!
Thanks very much for your help. This is just one more of the little niggly fit problems in this kit: nothing major, just a tad annoying.
Cheers!
Gary
PS: If you can post a few photos of your work, I'd really like to see them. Have you seen the photo-posting directions at the top of the Forum page (see below)? I used those directions, and was successful. If you wish, send me a Private Message and we can discuss. GB

Hello, PetarB,
And thank you for your very kind message. I expect to have the model finished this weekend, and so will post a few more of the completed project then.
Best Regards,
TP

Hi, All,
Model's done, photos taken, but I ran out of time getting them posted to the web. Bear with me, as I'm away tomorrow. I'll try like h--l to get them up on the web on Thursday, and posted here.
There are a few glitches, but not many and not major (I think!), so I'm happy with the results.
More Soon!
TP

Hello, Everyone,
Finally done. The propeller is satinized, rigging is in place (the aileron cables were a challenge), a little weathering added here and there, grabhandles fitted, touchups done, and a glass of good white wine consumed!
It turned out rather well, I think, although there are a few glitches here and there. And no, I don't think that I'll refight the Battle of the Upper Wing. Both camps have their opinions, and I'll be the last one to say that the question is black and white (or olive green and yellow, come to think of it!).
I've got a lot of people to thank for their help over the past few months, not to say a year or so: Dan San Abbott, Mike Taylor, FokkerJ, Alan Giles, Foxbat08, MerlinV, bobs_buckles and Iwik, to name a few. If I've missed anyone, I apologize: please know that your help is most appreciated.
Now I'll move on to the next stage in my "get finished the models that I've started over the past few years" campaign. I regret to say that my next target is a 120mm United States Civil War 12 Pounder Napoleon cannon! However, with that one out of the way, and maybe a Hurricane fighter, I'll probably start on an Eduard 1/48th Albatros II. Gotta try out those Misterkit Albatros colours! And I'll keep visiting here, just to keep my hand in.
Best to All!

TP,
An EXCELLENT rendering of Lothar's Dr.I!
Hey, you don't suppose this original and existing Dr.I rudder might possibly have belonged to.............?

Hey Trackpad, that looks sensational!
I love the way the streaking has come out.
Cheers,
Hugh
