Matt & Ross: very cool gents! My next piece is called 'Home from the Hunt.' *Built using the Glencoe fuselage and resin copies of the D.V wings before there was an Eduard kit of the D.III. *Skinned with marqueting wood. For the interior I used the Eduard super detail set.

Thanks Ross, I spray misted the base with white as a last step. *I used that same technique on 'The Last Meeting of IPMS Ragwing' when is came to the dust (almond paint.) Hold yor airbrush (with the appeture wide open) or spray can back from the object about 18 inches at a 45 degree angle to the surface to begin with. Then adjust the distance according to your desired effect. Try to apply an incomplete layer of pigment. Its not translucent, but it allows the underside colors to show through.Its one of my favorite pieces. *

Unlike my other piece with the fully exposed engine, here was my early dabbling with the main focus on the 1/48 Pelican Decals 'Seven Swabians' on a DML Fok. D.VII that had only some minor modifications.

Love the mural down the side of the fuselage there mate. Do you have a pic of the real one ??

Also thanks for the tip on the frost affect.
