Bill Powers Fokker D.VII Kit: Revell (1:72)
http://www.wwi-models.org/Images/Pow...html#FokDVII_2

Quote:
Revell's 1/72 kit of the Fokker DVII built to practice using 20 thousand brass rod for struts, making engine panels and louvers from scratch, cutting rib tapes from solid sheet and weathering with oils. Corrected the top wing's erroneous dihedral. Scheme came from 1973 IPMS/UK magazine. Flown by Lt. Hans Schultz Jasta 18, shot down June 1918. The red may be too bright, but it really looks great!

WW1 Trophy Hunter Model by Ivan Cocker. http://www.track-link.net/gallery/3090

This is a Fusilier Model in 80mm of an RFC Pilot with an Albatross trophy rudder. It was painted in oils over acrylic with empahsis on materials to create different textures of leather, textiles and metals.

Patience....It just requires patience. And the restraint, after a mistake, or when all the rigging falls off, not to put the whole thing in a drawer.

I'm glad that TMC has finished the Roden kit. I knew he was interested in the "Early Schwerin" kit build and the "Sachsenberg D.VII" thread we had here. At one time he was pretty frustrated with the early Schwerin kit but here he's done a fine job. Though I note he didn't install the aileron cables from the top wing to the fuselage or the rigging cables from the fin to the Horizontal stabilizers.
