I think it's stupid for them not to have included the other set of etch, and don't you need the etch to complete the model theres the etch piece that goes on the bottom under the fuesalge where the bottom wings join and the wheel struts connect to the fuesalage I believe it's called a chin plate isn't that needed?
If i'm wrong let me know .

I'm pretty sure if you email them they'll send you another one. I've heard Eduard are pretty good about things like that.

It seems they are being pretty stiff necked about wanting $ for anything extra with this kit.

For clarity the Camel was of course released as a Combo kit.

It seems to me to be a little disingenuous of them to offer "two full kits" but only include the PE for 1.

But it's clear from their site that there is only the PE frets for 1. I guess the one to get will be the dual combo. These have traditionally contained 2 full kits including PE.

For example their "Royal Class" BF-110 includes parts and PE for 2 full kits.

I do like their stuff, but I think this would leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth if I'd bought one.

If you look at the parts layout ...

The Photo etch is needed to complete the kit it's not just an enhancment the kit would lack alot of detail without it because there are no replacment plastic parts there .
If they produce a weekend edition kit it would'nt look right look at the build up on there site .

Here is a bit of fun concerning the Eduard Fokker Dr.I kit instructions and PE.
Highslide JS

In this kit the starting magneto is the object molded in place at the pilot's left shoulder. The "Bosch" starting magneto (PE 4 ) they include (that they tell you to put at the pilot's left foot) is bogus. It was designed for inline motors. You will find this echoed in the Fokker F.I thread by Brad Cancian but they told him to put it on the other side by the foot.

Of note David. Alex Imrie lists an RPM counter, oil pulsometer and compass as the typical instruments in a Fokker Dr.I cockpit.

Has anyone noticed on the Fokker Dr.I Dual Combo.

At far right on the box side panels. The Jasta 19 machine with the white lightening bolt is Dr.I 503/17. Possibly there was not enough room for the 3 needed lightening bolts? So they went with a scheme that employed similar crosses. Ltn. Hans Weiss' Dr.I 545/17 was the replacement.
