Hi Just remember that I hijacket a thread on the DH4 build so I will not do that again
The engine is painted in Humbrol, and you can clearly see the frosty effect show thrue on the backingplate. This is not what I like at all. here´s not that easy to sand of.

Firts testfit to see if the enginge fits into the cowling.If you built the Fokker from roden you know that the engine do not fir into the cowling without a load of work.In this case there´s no problem. Also notice that Roden missed that second sparkplugs. But who can see that.

I did a testrun with some plasticard for a replacement seat and this will ge1t me where I want.So I´will do one or two more to see witch is the best.

Understood via the Humbol Frositng effect. It may have thickened and the metal flake was not mixed in well. However It looks as if it IS NOT Seen much at all thru the Cowl.

The Seat Looks Awesome. We all have seen this Weaved Technique appiled in soft Brass Wire. This is the First I ve seen it done in Plastic Card Strips. VERY EFFECTIVE.

Persoanlly I am hoping PART wont be too long to come out with a Ni28 Fret form their 48th issue. That will add many of the detail you are making attention to detail of here ie the Cowl Rivet lip and Pilots Seat Back Etc. Not to mention al their other great stuff they threw in.

I have looked for Ni28 Colors. Is it the case that the French built them and ONLY the USAS Operated them ?

Hello Mike,
The 28's only ever saw war service with your fellow countrymen. Postwar 28's went to Greece, Argentina and Switzerland.

The Kit looks really nice, and your work also looks fantastic.

I am looking very much forward to get one myself, it is one of my favourite aircraft.
How do you else like the kit?

It is a really nice seat you have made, I am very impressed. It must have taken some time?

How did you make the cowl lip? It also looks very nice.

The kit is just awesome. I been mailing Roden wishing for this one, so I can´t tell you how much Ive like it

The only concern I have is the decals, is they typical Roden hard and fight all the way down in the plastic?

The seat took app one hour to make,and this one is just an test to see if the plastic worked out the way I wanted. So there is second seat coming up.
The way I made it was to scale up the 48 scale etch from Parts and used it as an template.

I used etylacetat as glue for the plasticard strips.

Today´s work was on the interiorframe.Onece again the copied etch from Parts was used to get the right shape of the upper plastic peices.
