I want to do a Bristol Fighter in 1/48, but I'm not sure whether to buy the Aeroclub or Blue Max kit. Any suggestions?

Blue Max gives alternate cowlings so different versions can be built; it also has the finer detail as compared to the Aeroclub version, though there's not much in it. The Aeroclub kit is the more buildable IMO and that's the one I settled on.

David, I'd second that, fwiw. For exactly those reasons.

Aeroclub supplies you with a set of post-war tailfeathers. The molding is heavier...the fellow that did the write up gives you a very useful method for hanging that bottom wing below the fuselage, dealing with the u/c. They are close in price, tho' the Blue Max may be a bit more. The Sunbeam Arab wasn't all that hot anyway and doesn't recall the make as well for most folks..a wonderful a/c.
