Wing Jig

Hello to all of you fellow modellers!

I have been considering buying the famous, beautiful and expensive Aeroclub biplane wing jig, which it seems is back in production, when suddenly I found in the web another option, the SRAM assembly kit.
http://www.hobbyshop.cz/inshop/other...embly-jig.html)

which is not as good but much simpler and much cheaper.

So two questions really:

Has anybody got experience using this product? and what about any reviews of the inShop web shop?

I will be very grateful of any advice you could offer.

Fabio,

I wrote the Internet Modeler review of the original jig. This new one is much improved by all accounts. There's a thread on this forum somewhere were you can see photos of the Mark II in use. There's also a thread over on the wwi modelling site at The WWI May 2008 Archive by date . Both are positive. I don't have the new one because the old one isn't broken, so can't comment from experience, but would expect from what I've seen that it's worth the money.

I hope this helps.

Paul.

I've bought SRAM's jig. Not utilised yet, but seems very good.

Hello, Scimitar,

Too late for me: my Aeroclub order has been sent. I expect, however, that both will do the job admirably!
