Goering's Fokker

It's not "the reason is..."

It's "the reasons are..."

From a quick perusal of Bob Pearson's CD, it would seem that Jacob's mount was all black, and would only need a decal on the fuselage, and any of the Jasta 18 red and white birds were lozenge-free, and could have been chosen.

Goring is a rather unsavory and sordid character and I will not honor him with a reproduction either but I have quite a few Eagle Strike alternatives so like you all, thats not the rub. Stephen, is there any further word on our American lozenge connection and are they planning 4 color as well?

Dwayne

P.S. I think the Jasta 18 kit had lozenge on the undersurface of the wings but not sure if they all did. Eagle Strike has a Jacobs in set#48189 which I believe is still available.

Squadron has several Fokker D.VII eagle strike 1/48 scale offerings, at US$4.99 each! Good time to buy, imo.

One includes Jacobs, Flying Circus Part VI Fokker D.VII, Stock No: EP48189.

The other is more lozengy and quite colourful; The Flying Circus: Fokker, Pt 2, Stock No: EP48080 , including Holtzen, Jasta 16b; von Greim, Jasta 34b; Stark, Jasta 34b; Prey, Jasta 35b. All in lozenge camouflage schemes.

And couple of Superscale sheets for $2.99!
MS480930, Fokker D VII. Contains mkgs for 3 a/c: Jasta 9, Jasta 15, & Jasta 18.
MS480931, Fokker D VII #2. Includes mkgs for 2 a/c: Jasta 13, & Jasta 35.

Don't know ifn seperate lozenge required for these birds....

Obviously their not trying hard enough. Anything from Jasta 7 or 18 would be interesting. From their recent activity Eduard seems to be more concerned about what they can do with the greatest profit margin. Revell pumped out this scheme in their 1/72 scale in at least two specific issues.

I am sure that I will buy several of the weekend kits but I won't build them as Goering's. It truely is a shame he didn't come to an end when that anti-aircraft ripped open his Alb. D.III.

Unless its with a large exit wound in the cranium. And I am less inclined to do that than the all-white Fokker D.VII. But the real issue of this thread is the Fokker D.VII issue. My apologies for vearing off track.

My Gallery
Respect Stephen Ethic reason is one of the reason why some modeler does not build some subject. For me this is a piece of history and I build models without problem. There is people who won't build MRV planes as well he is enjoy in the pain of victim, some don't want to built NATO and US airplane after agression on my country, while other built only US planes. Everyone have its own reason.

No problem for this topic to contiue in general Fokker D.VII build direction- I like this

Cheers
