The 48 scale Roden Fokker Built Late version also included "decals" for an all white Göring version!

For what it's worth, the 1/72nd scale Roden D.VIIF "Late" also features the Goering all-white aircraft...

The figure of Herman Goring casts a long shadow, right into the death camps of WW2. That, I think, is the reason why some won't recognize him in building a replica of one of his machines. The regime in which he played an important role, made war on innocent people.

Plain and simple.

Göring was a coward. He took the easy way out by eating a cyanide capsule someone slipped him before he was supposed to hang. Most of the other nazi bastards who got the death sentence for war crimes stood on the gallows, and in their last words proclaimed their love for the fatherland. But Göring was too selfish to do that, and he didnt want to swing, so he offed himself, just like his loony tunes mentor hitler did.

Seems every kit company has done an "all-white" at one time or another. With the Eduard it just gives me a plastic kit with a minimal amount of loss re; unusable decals.

Although I abhor what Goring was to become later in life, I have modelled his White DVII from WW1 for the following reasons.
1. In WW1 he was just an overly ambitious soldier fighting for his country. Not necessarily popular but seems to have been respected by most of his WW1 peers.
2. He was the last commander of JG1, a Unit that I model for historical purposes.

That being said I certainly respect the choices/decisions of those whom choose NOT to model his aircraft for the very reason of WHO and WHAT he became.
As for unusable decals, there is no such thing. Serial numbers can be cut and re-arranged, and crosses used on other pojects

A small update. I just looked at the Eduard site and the pictures are up of the kits sprues. All of the parts are still included for both the early and late Fokker built DVIIs.To me this REALLY adds value to this release.
I don't know what Squadron will sell the kit for but Eduard lists it at $19.95.
If this is indicitive of a price increase on Weekend Edition kits I am not sure.
To me still a value!
