I will buy this kit ..
And i might build it as Goering Aircraft that depends on how i feel about it when i get around to building it .It's true that Goering was a monster during WW II but this hobby is Historical modeling and if someones concious is allright with building and painting an aircraft of Goerings then to each his own.

If this is indicitive of a price increase on Weekend Edition kits I am not sure.

Other weekend kits that have an MSRP of $19.95 are $17.95 at Squadron.
Most WWI release weekend kits are now around $10, so you might want to wait a few months, unless after market decals are getting hard to get.
There seem to be plenty of D.VII decal sheets at about $9 at squadron, but I don't know if that includes lozenge, or indeed if lozenge would be necessary.
I believe lozenge is getting difficult to find these days.

Yea, I can't see the price of the D.VII weekend kit being over 15 bucks unless its the price of petrol that does us in.
It will be curious how well the future release of the Accurate Miniatures 48th scale D.VII sells against the Eduard kit. It has a list of $34.95 with Great Models listing a selling price of $26.20
And oh yea, guess what? Its also white!
Salute,
Steve

I hadn't heard about an Accurate Miniatures release of a DVII. Whos mold is the basis? Any particulars on the details? Is there a link to the item you could provide?

It truely is a shame he didn't come to an end when that anti-aircraft ripped open his Alb. D.III.
|
OTOH, suppose he did got killed, what would have happened if someone else, probably capable, would have been head of the Luftwaffe!

Yea, it took me by surprise too. Why they would want to release a D.VII and compete with Roden and Eduard is beyond me but chances I'll get one anyway.
Its listed over at Welcome to Great Models Webstore. Click on preorders and scroll down a couple pages.

Greetings all here is the next in the Eduard re-issues of the Fokker D.VII. The crosses do not have any white border because the profile offered is all-white.

The separate PE "Zoom" set is a duplicate of the sets included in previous issues.

You might be right. If so, I wonder if they will be adding a resin engine and cockpit details as in their other kits. and and am wondering how much they might be able to improve the Eduard kit And what of the extra parts, will they be cut out? Since they are also doing the all white scheme of Goering, will Eduard also be supplying the same decals as in their weekend kit? But hey, better the Eduard than the Monogram kit!
I think I'm more curious than anxious to see this kit.
Salute,
Steve
