Then here is a bit of fun for you Srecko.

These are reference images to the real engine and Eduard's version of the BMW IIIa. The Fokker D.VIIF was the specific identifyer for the late production BMW powered version. Then why did Eduard say in their instructions (for kit # 8482) to used the parts for the Mercedes D.IIIaü? Can I get a witness here? OOOOOOPPPPPS!

Eduard cheapened out on the engine...

Eduard should have done 2 seperate engines like Roden did, since the only difference on their engine is the intake pipes and carb. The cylinders for the BMW are larger and shaped differently as well as the crankcase is completely different. But since the Eduard kit has the cowls molded closed so you cannot see the engine at all (except for the top of the cyl. and camshaft). So the amazing question here is why did Eduard include an engine data plaque on the original photoetched sheet? and is it a Mercedes or BMW plate LOL!

Greetings all;
Here is a bit of fun with the Weekend build in the markings of a ficticious pilot. While the build was a review the finish had me including it in a Group Build over on Aeroscale. The theme is "When I flew with. . ." The build was supposed to be a bit dirty and the back paint & red on the cross borders I wanted to look like it was flaking off in places.

Looks good Stephen. Definitely fits the description of the red crossed white Fokker mentioned in your previous post.

Interesting discussion. Years back I built a Revell DVII in Görings all-white scheme, probably all wrong. I don't think I'll ever make another one. Apart from being Göring's, I find this scheme a little boring.

Nice built, Stephen. Very interesting with the red borders, which is another interesting discussion.

Thanks,
Kofoed
