Fokker D.VII in July release

Hi all,

Eduard will release in July Goring Fokker D.VII. Is this the all white plane? Did any of you plan to make this kit?

Cheers

Hello, Sreiko,

Yes, I think that it is the all-white D.VII. Serial: Fok. D.VII F 5125/18.

I probably won't build it, as I have two D.VII's in my "to do" list right now. Then again, I can resist everything...except temptation!

Yep, you bet I'll be buying it. But, I'll most certainly build it as something else - Dutch, or Polish, perhaps.

July? Really?

Its slated to be a "Weekend Edition", so it won't take long to build, or paint.

If anyone needs details of the cockpit conversions, I started a thread on it a few weeks ago, and got some great photos and comments posted in return.

This one.

Yes good one topic with good photos of the subject. So how is your build? I think about idea to few of us start build of the same kit and same markings and all of this put in the same topic. With exchange of ideas and so on...

Cheers

P.S. did any build Bristol Fighter with crocodile markings or I am alone?

I have never built any of Goering's aircraft. And I never will.

Probably that Goering was the man he was...
let's face it, would we remember him at all if he had not been such a big figure in WWII?

Cheers,

Hugh

Thats a fair point.

Also on 22 "credited" victories were:

Hans Klein, (Served in Luftwaffe in WWII)
Hans Martin Pippart,
Werner Preuss,
Karl Schlegel

What do we know about them?

Do we have any opinions of them?

Eduard's "reasoning" for these particular kit is that its a weekend kit, and painting the kit all white is easier and quicker than dealing with lozenge decals and rib tapes.

I got the impression that they couldn't find one without lozenge or a complicated colour scheme. Maybe we should help in a search for alternatives.

From the artwork shown at the beginning of the year, they re just boxing a D.VII. The profile doesn't seem to show the cutaway around the cockpit.
