Sopwith F.1 Camel RFC

Hi all,

These are the photos of the last begun work. It is the Sopwith F.1 Camel RFC of Eduard 1/48. As it's advancing in my work I will be putting more photographies. I hope that they please.

Cheers

Miguel M.

Very nice work, indeed! What is the subject aircraft?

Keep posting photos. This looks like an excellent build in progress!

Hi Miguel,
Great work so far, but if I might give some constructive criticism... the shoulder straps look like they are hanging down to the floor. The Sutton harness as it is called should be pulled back so the ends of the straps with the buckles are on the seat, they all snap to the lap belts at the pilots waist level. So the Y shaped area where the 2 shoulder belts join the 1 strap should be pulled back towards the top of the fuel tank, and the silver mounting wire should be going straight across from 1 side of the fuel tank to the other - this should allow the shoulder belts to be in a more accurate position. If this does not make any sense to you let me know and I'll try to find a photo to illustrate this.

Hi Dave,

Thank you very much for the observation. I have put the belts as they were saying the instructions of Eduard's model.

I would like that you were sending a drawing, scheme or it comes out in photographs where it could estimate better the placement of the belts.

Cheers,

Miguel M.

Sorry miguel, unfortunately since I have moved 2 times in the last 3 years I have been unable to find many of my references (packed away in storage for the most part right now) but I know that robert karr and ken Foran have both done large scale Sopwith Camels recently - maybe a search for their builds will give you a better idea of how they should look.
Thanks,
Dave
