ilya muromets kits

Hi all,

I've been wanting to build an ilya muromets for quite some time, but I am undecided about which kit to pick up, the maquette or the ICM one.

From what I've heard both have their own issues, and the ICM one is rather hard to get. Nevertheless which one would you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance,

A7VBoy: Having built both kits I can state neither kit is very good or accurate.

The Maquette kit was the first one I built, so the mistakes on that kit abound. Someone from Russia sent me accurate drawings, and several glaring mistakes were corrected on the ICM build. The engines on the ICM kit were replaced with something more realistic looking.

Build either one. It will help you hone your rigging skills, and will fill up a large spot in your model cabinet.

I build models for the fun and the experience of it.
