I found these new WWI aviator figures sculpted by Mark Copplestone on the Web. The figures are 28mm white metal and may be suitable for 1/48?

Check them out at:

T'is I looking suitably intrepid and chopped off at the knees in Hero worship of my Hero...Dooglearse Baaahder.
He was a famous explorer from the Copplestone's Return To Darkest Africa range, sadly skewered after disturbing a pair of mating rhinos.
Every figure in this range is a little gem and a delight to paint. Ours have done battle with Imperial Hun types, assorted Fuzzie-Wuzzies, and a posse of niggly Velociraptors.

Oh!, I thought it was a nod to the paraplegic character in the 'Ginger to the Rescue' thread... ???

Greetings all!
I received my Copplestone pilot figures the other day and they are quite a hoot. Very nice detail, sharp castings, and alot of personality! The two full body figures are a tad too short for 1/48 but can be easily converted with a little extending of the legs (the rest of the body dimensions look spot on). Well worth the 7 GBP spent and took little time coming over the pond. I can never get enough of the personnel figures in 1/48 and these are a welcome addition. Also looking forward to the Eduard 1/48 German aviation figure set to be released in the near future. Keep 'em coming!

Happy New Year to all!

Bob D.
