thanks xkeg and SCMc SCMc your right about color photos i dont know about dig color change? Eastman Kodak in 1903 or 09 made the first color slide film and buy todays standards it is good but it cost 3.50 cents a roll and you are seeing now for the first time WWI FRENCH AIRCRAFT IN COLOR the link is in old mans scratch build farmen 1 month ago any way some one could have taken some photos of germen aircraft and the present owners thanks it is a colorised photo and doze not know what they have!!!!!!!!! well food for though.. to all I started the lower color hope to post soon Doug

I like the new one. Both are good but the new image appears more like what I see in period photos. Thanks for one of the more interesting and worthwhile threads on Aerodrome and for all your hard work.

Sorry to be a milk sop, but I actually don't like either of them.

They may be an accurate representation on the original, but I don't think they will translate too well onto decal paper and then onto a model at scale (especially 1/72 or 1/48).

I may be completely wrong of course (I often am).

I much prefer the second sample, with it's more subtle edges. As to how well it translates onto a model's surface I guess that depends very much on the variables such as printers, decal paper and primed surfaces. I look forward to giving it a test.

thanks all

thats the response i needed MERLIN V i hope you dont give up on this did you have trouble with it??? remember i use to air brush this threw stencels on to decal paper first base color then the 4 others and got them to lay never lost one ether they were thick but solvaset would suck them down ..do you use solvaset?? or pre prep the decal paper??
