Hi Doug,

It looks like you are trying to match the replica fabric from Hans' post. I was thinking of the original fabric (the right picture).

This is an approximation of those colors:

Steve

(It looks like I have the pinkish color just a little too saturated)

Doug,

If you re-visit the blog and look at the fabric research posting, take your colours from the original fabric remnants in the shots rather than the doped panel. (not that there's much difference)

Nothing is a better colour resource for you than non faded bits of original fabric.

Hi Doug,

The greyish purple, yellowish tan, and light blue-green all look good to me.

The dark blue looks about the right shade, but a bit greenish to me.

The pinkish color looks too dark and saturated to me.

The overall effect looks good, but you might lighten the edges a bit.

(Note: I checked the colors in a graphics program and they are good matches, so don't change them. The problem is with my perception, not the colors.

To be honest, I don't really like this one, but I think you have accurately represented the colors, and the source is the best we have. I still think the edges should be toned down, but this is one of the best you have done.)

Steve

This version appears spot on to me. The colors match against the (electronic) samples in my collection. As for the edge/overlap, we know there were variations in that depending on the MFR and even printing runs. So they could be more blurred or as they look now.

Good to go for me.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Doug,
Superb work as usual.
Just remember to post up the finished panels in one post. Hopefully one of the moderators will make it into a sticky.
Happy days!

Cheers,
Bob
