Hi, all -
I'm painting up the seat for a Roden Albatros DIII, a resin after-market shot with seat harness molded on. What material were the seat/shoulder belts commonly made from (leather? canvas? other?), and what would be a good color to paint them?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Most seatbelt/harness material I have seen is either olive drab or undyed canvas. Later German aircraft seemed to have a type of almost white material with two dark stripes running the length of the strap like an inset border. Dan San Abbott may know more about this.

The seat belt /shoulder harness was made with 50 mm wide linen webbing in natural, color greyish light tan.
