Thank you Kofoed- you are very kind man

So kit get first coat in pale fabric, two wood brown colors and aluminium. Tomorrow continue to work. Also tomorrow will be shiped to me couple of Humbrol paints. they will be splitted into two cans each. After mix of the best possible matches I will in one can add aluminium color and other will remain original.

In my model build two kits get very high ratings- Fokker Dr.I and Nieuport XI. I hope that this one will be third one. As usuall i will use maximum of archive data. To regret I have only one archive images of Fonck airplane in my collection but hope I will get more in a meantime.

Cheers

All interior is made until now and fuselage mated. One question- how much is the plane preserved in paris with Fonck markings authentic?

Greetings Srecko!

Unknown about the machine you mention. But for information concerning Spad XIII I suggest Mr. Alan Toelle. He is one of the authors of the ground breaking articles on French multicolour camouflage and. . . the man when it comes to Spad XIII. Here are a few selected refernces.

Aeroplane Monthly, IPC Magazines Ltd. Vol. 19, #8, Aug. 1991.
American Aces of WWI by Franks, Osprey Pub. 2001.
‘To Capture the Rainbow...’ by S. Lawson, Cross & Cockade Int. Vol. 29, #1, 1998.
‘...Before the Colors Fade’ by D. Eubanks, Cross & Cockade USA Vol.19, #1, 1978.
Lafayette Foundation Archives, Denver Colorado USA.
‘Project Butterfly’ by Hardesty, Hastings, and Toelle, Cross & Cockade USA Vol. 9, and 13, 1972.- (Most excellent articles on the French 5 color camouflage patterns.)
Report on Spad XIII S.4377 by A. Toelle, unpublished to date 2006.
Report on Spad XIII S.6625 by A. Toelle, unpublished to date 2006.
Report on Spad XIII S.7689 by A. Toelle, unpublished to date 2006.
Report on Spad XIII S.8340 by A. Toelle, unpublished to date 2006.
Report on Spad XIII S.15295 by A. Toelle, unpublished to date 2006.
Report on Spad XIII S.16594 by A. Toelle, unpublished to date 2006.
SPAD XIII C.1 by C.F.Andrews, Profile #17, 1965.
SPAD XIII C.1 by J.M.Bruce , Windsock Datafile #32, Albatros Pub. 1992.
‘The Charge of the Yellow Ram ( the138th Aero Sqdn)’by S. Lawson, Cross & Cockade Int. Vol.25, #4, 1994.
Windsock , Albatros Pub. Vol. 6, #4, July/Aug. 1990.
"Spad XII / XIII Aces of WWI" by Jon Guttman. Excellent book and he briefly discusses Madon's machines. Its #47 in the Aircraft of the Aces series. In my first run through it I only found one faux paux (on page 51.)

Good Luck!

I will do a bit of hunting. I am sure he is covered in several spots. Are you looking for biography or this aircraft and his specific actions in it?
