Thank you
Thanks everyone for your kind words and support!
And Dan, thanks for your endorsement! It means a lot to hear it from you. I tried very hard to be faithful to the information that you have made available.
I agree that you cannot see the 50 yarns per inch texture at any distance. However, the decal does provide a nice modulation of the colors. I especially like the effect on the upper surface lozenge. You really have to look closely to see the weave — but it still imparts an impression of fabric.
The original concept was to print the lozenge WITH the texture. However, I thought the addition may not be everyone's cup of tea. So, I made the texture a separate decal. This way the modeler is free to choose how they customize their lozenge finish.
Cheers!
Tom

That was my concern, as well.
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but "visible fabric texture" puts me in mind of the modern "accented panel line" craze for post WWI aircraft models, and Francois Verlinden's "random camouflage netting & spent rounds " (20+ years old) for armor models. Artsy & eye-catching, but not representative of the real thing.

My wife just had to pick me up off the floor, and give me smelling salts.

The subtle effect in scale is always the best.

Well, my order is in - always happy to support new ww1 product lines. Will be interesting to see how these are to use in comparison with the Eagle Strike lozenge (which I rather like).

Tom,
What is the best option for shipping?
I've just tried to order and $79 came up for shipping. If I lived on Mars I could live with that, but I'm just across the pond in Blighty.
Cheers,
Bob

Shipping charges
Bob and everyone:
Yes, the site appears to have a glitch with calculating the UPS shipping charges. It worked fine when I tested it before launch, but is now disfunctional. Some people were not charged any shipping and for others unreasonable rates.
I'm looking into the problem and hope to have a fix soon. Stay tuned.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Tom

I had the same problem with my site when I opened up. I had to go in with a "patch" recommended to fix the issue. Templates are usually reliable but when it comes to crossing into the postal domain there always seem to be issues that have to be dealt with.

The problem with shipping may be with UPS. They're fine within the US, but ridiculous once you cross the beach. Try a USPS airmail option.
