K&B/Aurora Breguet 14

Can anyone tell me how good or bad this kit is?

Hi Kalt

it's certainely one of the better Aurora/KB kits.
The wings have quite a nice profile with rib detail on undersides, although all ribs are at a wrong angle. The embossed markings have to be removed and the tailplane parts are a bit on the thick side as are the struts but the general impression is not that bad. Especially useful is the Aeroclub issue with a "metal sprue". If you don't need a perfect kit and are willing to do some improvements it is one of the very few Aurora kits still worth building today.

Is this kit a Resin one? I think I may have that in my stash.

Cheers,

No Sir. Injection moulded, 1/48. First issued around 1963 by Aurora. Those with the K&B logo could be still be found occasionally.

That depends on the references you use for comparison. Some drawings show a different sweep angle but whenever I saw a collection of built old 48th models the Breguet 14 certainely looked the part.

Thanks Guys!
I'm planning to build the A2 version, I couldn't find the Hi-Tech kit so I'm going to modify the K&b/Aurora kit.

Cheers,

Claudio
