Brad,
Great work....looks really, really good.

Try mixing a little japan drier into the oils when you use them. It doesn't take much, even moistening the brush will help a lot, and your oils will dry overnight.

Keep it up, looking great!

Brad your a breathing WWI Model Diety !! I have volumes of your build photo's stored on my hard drive for future refernce on my future builds.

Your "Micro" 48th Scale work here is Unbeleiveably great. For a more complete appreciation of what your accomplishing here is the same subject in real 1/4scale so others can see exactly how "tight" everything is placed in this aircraft.

Wow! Brad's 1/48 looks as good as the 1/4 scale job. Kudo's to you Brad. Now is this going to be in the same diorama as your Arab powered Bristol F2b?

Thanks guys, you are way too kind to me I must say that I am enjoying this build (although I also have to admit I am struggling to find the time at the moment - the social calendar keeps getting full!)

Yikes that 1/4 scale cockpit is absolutely amazing, definately puts my work to shame, even if it is somewhat larger!

Stephen - ah yes, the Bristol.... erm... must brush that one off one day... glad you keep reminding me to get on with it!! Must do that some time soon May have to tackle it after this one (although I do have the Karaya DH5 on the way... decisions!)

Hi Brad,
I know how you feel about those F2B's, I have one myself with the fuselage done, fully detailed interior and nice engine, but the thought of masking & spraying all those rib tapes on the wing has me... Building a few more Nieuports and Fokker D.VII's instead!

Hi guys – cockpit is now done. Other than the seat, the rest of the cockpit details were scratchbuilt from strip and sheet plastic, wire, and the odd etched piece from the spares box. The seat belts are from the Eduard etched set, and the seat is from the Eduard Bristol F.2b with a hole drilled in the centre to allow access to the fuel cap. Tanks and ammo boxes were scratchbuilt as shown previously. I did cut the Vickers guns inhalf to allow for ease of fitment and painting. I also added pads to the Vickers butts from putty. Anyways, I’ll let the pics do the talking.
