Gday Trackpad - Bob is pretty close to the money with the rigging material. I do use the fine elastic core from a product called "knitting in elastic". The product I have however has a very fine elastic core with cotton(?) thread around it - I remove the thread and have the fine elastic, which I colour black. I'm pretty sure it's very close to the material that Bob has posted a link to, which looks to be the elastic without the core. For the Snipe, I also used some thicker elastic to represent the RAF flying wires in certain places - for these wires, I used Aeroclub elastic, which is similar but thicker.

Cheers and thanks!

Bob and Brad,

Thanks, both, for your guidance. Once I get a few of the lingering "started" kits done, I'll be back into the WW1 subjects. Rigging has always been my bugbear, so I'm always on the lookout for hints ands tips!

I missed this roll-out by a couple of days... Well, still I wanted to add my admiration - the model is beautiful. I especially like the subtle shading of wings and fuselage. Great work!
