For those that belived that the Eduard Fokker DR1
was to be their last ever German WW1 release...
Quote:
DECEMBER KITS
We are on final approach to finishing our new Fokker E.II / E.III Eindecker, probably our most significant December release. This new one is much different from the old Eduard Eindecker, which opened the Eduard 1/48th scale WW I line 15 years ago.

Hugh,
I was one of the sinners that thought Eduard would walk away from WW1... I'm more than pleased to be wrong.
Cheers for the heads up
Bob

Wow, what a year it has been for plastics. We are very, very lucky. Does anyone remember having such a banner year in the past?

Durn!
When are these people going to stop? I've got more kits than I will ever be able to build, and now they go and announce yet another beauty. Hmmm...wonder if I can get another twenty years added to my life's allocation...must go to church and ask...!

No, no, no!
She meant for you to cut back on her xmas list and add much more to yours!
Besides, being snowbound can lead to some very serious modeling sessions.
My LHS is really stepping up the stocking of Eduard and Roden kits. They seem to be coming in faster too as they seem to be showing up maybe two weeks after being released so its like xmas almost everytime I stop in.
Salute,
Steve

Great to see the Eindecker available again, but I can only hope that the plastic doesn't trot out the same old mistakes that are shown in the profiles here. Even a cursory bit of research would dispel the notion of the square cowling cheek on the port side of an E.II...
Nice touch with the Schwarzlose MG on the Austrian example though.

Like everyone else, I can't wait for this kit to hit the shelves. I'm sure I'll pick up one initially and then the cursory limited edition/dual pack or whatever they come up with.
Just curious, but where did everyone get the idea that every one of the latest WWI kits from Eduard is to be their last? There was discussion after the D.VIII, D.VII, and the Dr.I.........even though they've had this eindecker on the boards for a long time, as well as several others.
I never got the impression Eduard was getting out of WWI at all.

Hi Chris,
That was the word at the release of the DR1. And I for one reckoned that it was just a marketing ploy anyway.
Cheers,
Hugh
PS, Apologies to all for the spelling mistake in the title.
(I can't spell engineer, I are one)
