Mike and Zabu,
Thanks. I'm not "Mr Photoshop" by any means, but at least know what your talking about I played with it some.......and photoshop raterizes when you copy and paste elsewhere to the document. I played with the printing smaller. It will take some getting used to but I'm getting there.
Now, what is a GOOD very thin decal paper that you might recommend? The ones that I've used are Good but rather thick and clumsy.
Regards
Steve

Well, I used an Xdecal sheet, as it was the first time that I ever made a decal don't have a term of comparison, but cannot complain so far, but yet, I still need to put it in place .

Sorry NC_Rotorhead, my fault . Try Xtradecal.
BTW, in the properties of the printer, if you choose glossy paper (for photos and when making the final decal ), the print will be better defined.

Decal Paper
The paper I use, and is used by most of the ALPS Printer users is Tango Papa.
Decal Paper
Is very thin, strong and clear, or white as you prefer.

Mike,
Appreciate that..............I'm not an ALPS guy though, stuck with Inkjet. I "Shoulda" gotten one when i had the chance. But I make only a few limited special decals for myself.
But, I AM in the learning stage for WWI machines so the Font issue has been VERY enlightening. I thank you for that and the fonts. It's funny, they show up in MS Word as a blank name. They work, just hard to find.

Steve

NC,
You may have tried this, but I'll let you know what I did.
From the email with the font attached, I clicked on the attachment, then highlighted "Save As..." I then found the font sub-folder that holds all of my computer's fonts. This folder is in the "Control Panel" folder. I then saved the fonts directly in to that font sub-folder.
Accessing Microsoft Word, I was then able to open a blank page, access whichever of the (now) four WW 1 fonts I have, and start typing. As noted earlier, I tried "Fok. F 5125/18." The number came out correctly, except that the "18" was too big (same point value as the rest of the number). No worries, just highlight it and assign it a smaller point value.
I hope this helps!

There are lots of ways to "load" fonts into MS operating systems. In my case XP. All I did was "throw" them into the font folder in "Windows". They installed automatically into True Type fonts..........not a problem. The "issue" is that the Albatros Font is OK, the others are "There", but are nameless. Looked at the different fonts and they all appear to use the naming convention in the file. It might be that there are only a few letters in these fonts and are not complete.
Now if there is a real REASON to NOT load in this manner, then I'll choke on my words and go back and do it "Right"
Comments?
Regards
Steve
