Just when you thought it might be safe, another font available.

Here is another snap shot of a new font I'm working on. Based on the Fokker D VII (Fokker built).

Highslide JS

Everybody who received the other three fonts will get this one also.

I consider these works in progress, so I would really like to hear any comments or corrections and such. Let's work together and get these correct.

If you want this and the other fonts, email me at guitar.guitar@earthlink.net and put fonts in the subject line of your email.

Happy Printing,

Mike in Bellingham, WA USA

I'm interested.

What other fonts do you have?

Can you point me to a link, or a thread, or a pic?

TIA

They look really nice but perhaps you should post this thread under the "camouflage and markings" label. I received your other fonts too and I'm planning to use them very soon, I will post some pictures of the results.

Thanks again,

Claudio

Mike, love the fonts. I have the others also.

Question, how small can you get the fonts and have them "readable"? To make a decals for the fuselage they have to be pretty small. Ive tried it and they just don't print as readable. What is the process that some companies use to get a small print? Even in photoshop once you get down in the pixel level your kinda shot.

Regards
Steve

Small , smaller, smallest . . . . . . . . . .

Steve,

These true type fonts are vector based. If you don't know the difference between vector and raster (pixelated) graphics, I suggest you do a web search and bring yourself up to date. I am not suggesting you don't know the difference, this is just an 'if' situation. These fonts will print as small as your printer will support. My ALPS will print to 1200X2400 dpi. Using Corel Draw 8 as my vector based graphics program, I can and have printed warning stencils (for later than WW-1 airplanes) so small that I need a magnafier to read them, and I can read them plain as a sunny day.

I don't have photoshop but doing a web search I find that it is a pixel based graphics program.

Type something using these fonts into a vector based graphics program.
I use Corel Draw 8. Using the magnifier enlarge the printed words and you will never see any pixel at all, ever, subject to the resolution of your viewing screen.

Yeap, I had the same problem while making the rudder decal to the Navarre's N576 1/72 scale. The solution was to make the decal 4 times bigger (just an example) than the final one, and then print it at 25% on Paint from Windows. Worked O.K. and readable. Cheers

Already at home! Wow, nice fonts modelhound!! Corel Draw humm...??
Realy great work, thank you for sharing!

Mike,

Got mine last night, saved them into my Control Panel font folder, then gave them a trial flight. Goering's 5125/18 was the guinea pig, and it came out beautifully. Now to find some worthwhile inkjet clear decal paper! I've got to get to Bellingham: I owe you a beer or three!
